Strict Liability in AI Legal Accountability in Indonesia: A Juridical Review

The increasing sophistication of artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to give rise to numerous legal issues. However, Indonesia has yet to issue regulations governing artificial intelligence. This study aims to examine how legal liability should be assigned when AI is involved in legal problems, as well as the potential application of the strict liability principle as a basis for legal liability for the impacts caused by AI in Indonesia. The research method employed is a normative juridical approach. The findings indicate that AI is not yet regulated in Indonesia and cannot currently be considered a legal subject. Therefore, it is crucial for Indonesia to promptly establish relevant regulations, one of which may include the consideration of applying the strict liability princip
